Gracie Hatfield is in her final year of a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a double major in Sociology and Social Anthropology at Dalhousie. Her interest in healthcare grew through her work with the Student Health Promotions team at Dalhousie. Gracie’s research interests focus on how healthcare systems intersect with social and structural inequalities. Being from Japan and having lived in diverse settings, she brings a cross-cultural and adaptable lens to her work. She is passionate about creating spaces in healthcare where people feel seen, safe and empowered to use their voices to advocate for healthcare equity. She is excited to support the Adult Comfort Promise as part of her work with the STIC Lab and to contribute to advancing women’s health at the IWK.
