Research Associate Program Manager / PhD in Health Student

Alannah graduated from McGill University with a BA in Cultural Studies (2006), followed by a MSc in Africa and International Development (2011) from the University of Edinburgh. Upon returning to Canada after her Masters, she began working in health research. Working in a wide variety of health research contexts in Canada and sub-Saharan Africa, Alannah has over a decade of experience in areas largely focused on health equity, patient-centred care, social determinants of health, and health system change. Alannah has received training in Implementation Science, Knowledge Translation, Evidence Synthesis, Mixed Methods Research, and Thematic Analysis. She applies her research and project management skills to the overall strategic direction of the STIC Lab. Additionally, Alannah is a PhD in Health student at Dalhousie University. Her doctoral research is focused on the implementation of One Person One Record, a Clinical Information System, at IWK Health. Outside of the STIC lab, she spends most of her time with her young family and their dog.
